Coucou! Voulez vous cafe avec moi? - PTV #19

If you are in or around Karori in Wellington, take a break and head to Coucou for a taste of France.

Coucou focuses on French cuisine, but whether you are after a coffee and cake or a three course meal, it doesn't matter because your experience will be a memorable one.

This is a special family owned restaurant run by Jerome Touzard.  Jerome, being the head chef and owner, grew up and trained in France before working in some of the top restaurants around the world.

His aim is to provide high quality and affordable French cuisine for Everyone to experience.  With old favs like Creme Brulee and Gratinee Lyonnaise (tradtional French Onion soup with Gruyere on toast) the menu offers some real traditional French items along with some nice mixed Kiwi / French influenced ones!

A great place to relax.  Definitely pop in if you are close by.

kowtow - designed in the Capital

Determined to make a difference, these designers out of Wellington not only make awesome clothes, they are dedicated to using organic cotton and promoting fairtrade ... so when you buy from their range you are supporting a better future for everyone!

Kowtow's clothes are very relaxed with a twist of different.  They feel great and have a very unassuming look; not wanting to take the limelight, but actually force people to look twice.

The top I bought below left is one of my favs to wear.  The cotton is really soft and gives the clothes a very different look.  It is flexible and yet strong and surprisingly light.

Check out the web for their range, both Women and Men, and keep an eye on them at selected stockists.

Joug Design ...

You may think that making light shades is a bit boring, but these guys will be the first to prove you wrong!

Jelle and Helen hand make all their light shades.  From stunning and delicate to fun and funky, these guys will help make your home beautiful and different.

http://www.joug.co.nz/
Based out of Welly, they are dedicated to not only making your home look fab, but they are dedicated to helping the environment, and hence their light shades are 100% recyclable - woohoo!

You must check out their designs either on their websites or at one of the stockists listed on them.  The two web pages differentiate between the different styles so do make sure you check them both out.

Oh, and you can also have one custom made by choosing a fabric and a lightshade shape that you like!
